FAQ's

  • Can men attend the sessions?

    Absolutely! Couples are also welcome.

  • Do I need any yoga or meditation experience?

No experience is necessary, in fact, these practices are ideal for anyone who struggles with meditation or the idea of sitting still and being quiet.

  • How often do I need to attend sessions?

This is different for everybody and there’s no right/wrong answer here. It is important to consider your own schedule and your own needs. Some clients come weekly or a few times a month. Others come once a month or just a few times a year.

  • Which session should I take?

The first consideration is your location. If you live close by, you may enjoy an in-person session. If you live far away, you may prefer online rather than traveling. Each session varies in time from 50 minutes to 3 hours, so this may influence your decision. Also read the description of the sessions to get a feel for what they’re about – each session has a different format or focus! If you are still unsure, feel free to reach out to me and I can help you to choose a session that best fits your needs and circumstances.

  • What do I need for an in-person session?

Everything is provided for you at the studio. You only need to wear something comfortable and bring some water, a long sleeved top and socks if you need them! When you rest, your body cools down.

  • What do I need for an online session?

You’ll need a space in your home where you can move freely and rest in your own little retreat sanctuary. Somewhere that is quiet and free from disruptions.

You’ll need the following props to support your practice:

    • A soft surface to lay on (yoga mat, soft carpet, thick rug)
    • A soft, but supportive bolster (or use a pillowcase filled with pillows, blankets, duvet to simulate a bolster)
    • Moon cushion or any firm cushion (x2)
    • Large blankets or bath towels
    • Something to cover the eyes (eye pillow, scarf, sarong)
    • A sand bag, wheat bag or hot water bottle
    • Essential oils such as lavender, vetiver or any calming and grounding blends
    • Gentle calming music (without lyrics) to play in the background (such as Music of Wisdom, Higher Minds or Echoes of Silence)
    • Journal and pen

  • Where do I buy props from?

Stacey Mann wellness has beautiful lavender eye pillows, cooling bamboo blankets and limited supply of weighted body huggers for grounding all available for sale (click here). Yoga King in Australia is where all the other organic props such as heavy weighted blankets, bolsters and cushions are sourced.

  • Can I attend sessions if I am pregnant?

Yes, these sessions are wonderfully supportive for pregnancy. However, if you have had a history of miscarriage please let me know beforehand.

  • Where are sessions held?

In-person sessions are located at Marina Collection Sentosa.

Online sessions are supported by Zoom, an online platform that is free to use.
